Zach Galligan was born on February 14th, 1964. His full name is Zachary Wolfe Galligan. At the age of 3, Zach parents divorced. His father's name is Arthur, an attorney, and his mother's is Carol. His mother is a psychologist. Zach graduated from Columbia University. At the age of 6, Zach started acting. Zach's 1st movie was "Jacobo Timerman: Prisoner Withough A Name, Cell Withough A Number (1983)".
Zach has been in TV series like The Hitchhicker (1983), Melrose Place(1992), Tales From The Crypt(1989), Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman (1993), Love Boat: The Next Wave (1998), Star Trek: Voyager (1995), The Net (1998), Chicken Soup For The Soul (1999), and 7th Heaven (1996).
During his junior year at Manhattan's Collegiate School, Native New Yorker Galligan was lunching in the cafeteria. Casting director Juliet Taylor approached to ask if he'd be intrested in auditioning for a role in a mayor motion picture. The film was never made; however, with Taylor's support, Galligan continued to receive auditions.
At the age of 19, Galligan was selected from hundreds interviewed for the role of Billy in "Gremlins (1984)"
In 1984, Zach was chosen for the role of "Gremlins (1984)", wich was Zach's biggest hit. The movie Gremlins became a classic. He had found a series of small screen roles that displayed his charmed and talent, most particularly Surviving(ABC, 1985), in wich he had fellow up and comer Molly Ringwald co-starred as teenaged lovers who carry out a suicide pact. Back in 1988, Zach appeared in the horror classic "Waxwork (1988)". Zach has been in many good films, films like "Psychic (1992)", "Raw Nerve (1999)", ect, ect. He has been in more than 30 movies, and he really is a great actor.
I just found out that Zach enyoied heavy metal music, specially the classic one. He says that the classic rocks!! And it does rocks. I've heard that Zach like singing, never heard him before, but that's cool!!
In 2002, Zach Galligan returned to the big screen in the movie "Infested (2002)". And this is one movie you can't miss!!!
